Daniel Finnerty
Daniel attended South East London Technical College to study Mechanical
Engineering and Design as part of a 4 year apprenticeship with a major
engineering company and later worked in the pre production and design
department.
A downturn in engineering led to a change of career and in 1984 Daniel joined
the Metropolitan Police civil staff as a Scenes of Crime Officer and later moved
to Surrey Police and became a Crime Scene Manager after obtaining a Diploma in
Crime Scene Examination and Investigation. The role enabled Daniel to gain an
in-depth knowledge of how crimes are committed which has been invaluable when
advising on how best to protect persons and property.
In 1995, Daniel joined Independent Insurance as a Private Client Risk Surveyor a
role that incorporated much of the experience gained in previous employment, the
practical aspects of security design and risk management and an insight into
crime patterns and trends. Daniel was involved in training and development of
new staff and the Private Client survey team and established a management role
prior to the failure of Independent Insurance in June 2001.
In July 2001 an opportunity to become part of a set up of a new product for
Zurich Insurance was taken. The role involved design and implementation of a
complete survey system for the product to be known as Zurich Private Clients.
In April 2002, following research in the High Net Worth market, went into
partnership with other specialists to establish a risk management service and
formed Promise Risk Management Partnership (PRMP). The Partnership is to
specialise in all aspects of Risk Management within the high profile High Net
Worth market.
